Symphony at Salk is the Institute’s signature annual event, featuring an elegant evening of dining and live music set in its iconic oceanfront courtyard, with proceeds supporting groundbreaking scientific research. I storyboarded the show and animated multiple scenes in collaboration with a team of designers and animators, then went on site to oversee the projection mapping onto the Institute’s architecture.

Challenges + Solutions:
The greatest challenge of this project was time and man-power. It occured at an extremely busy time when all of the lead designers and animators had other projects on their hands, so I jumped in to create the storyboard in google slides for easier brainstorming, and kept the momentum going while the leads finished up their projects. Once they were on boarded, I animated 4-5 scenes alongside the team and kept track of progress via google sheets.

• This show was just cool, getting to be on site and actually see the projection mapping in person was phenomenal.
