EMPLOYER:
Show Imaging,Inc

CLIENT:
University of San Diego

ROLE:
Lead Designer
Motion Graphics

TOOLS:
Photoshop, After Effects, InDesign, Illustrator

Held at Petco Park, USD’s 75th Diamond Anniversary Founders Gala celebrated the university’s legacy with an evening of fine dining, entertainment, and fundraising in support of student scholarships. I created the full signage design, which the client adopted as the event’s visual identity, expanding the original scope, and also designed two digital LED posters highlighting sponsors and honorees throughout the night.

Challenges + Solutions:
The files that were shared for the life size medals in the alumni lounge were very low res and all different colors. So, I utilized online tools to up-res as far as I could then took the rest into photoshop and did some very detailed color corrections to get all of the medals in the same ballpark of hue. They turned out beautiful, and you would really need to be kissing those medals to see any grain.

  • Oddly enough, this one just felt opulent, and that was fun to be a part of. It is rare that a client lets you design what you want, but they even started putting in more and more and more and more elements. It was like they got bit by the potential bug and just went wild with it!
