ROLE:
Lead Designer,

TOOLS:
Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Cinema C4D

The UC San Diego Alumni Awards is an annual event honoring distinguished alumni for their impactful contributions across various fields. In 2025, the show traveled to New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, requiring a flexible, easily assembled stage and custom environmental elements for each location. I led the overall show design, created the visual identity for signage and decor, and developed multiple iterations of a mobile stage concept tailored for a small on-site team.

Challenges + Solutions:
Since each location was different, the stage needed to be simple and easily assembled by a small team. Along with that, the environmental graphics were customized to each location, one needing a full wall mural while the other needed a bar mirror wrap around and the next including six elevator wraps. With a tight budget, I had to streamline the production process to make each of these asks managable.

  • I got to play with Cinema 4D in extreme detail! Still a bit cross-eyed from all the lighting, but it was a very fun first dunk into the program!
